Getting the system right before a single unit is fitted.
A good air conditioning installation starts with a proper design. We work out the heat gain of each room, the best position for indoor and outdoor units, and the right size and type of system for the space, so it runs efficiently and quietly rather than being oversized, undersized or noisy.
An oversized system cools a room quickly then switches off and on repeatedly, which wastes energy and wears components faster, while an undersized system runs constantly and still struggles to keep up on the hottest days. Working out the actual heat gain of a room or building, from sun exposure and glazing to equipment and occupancy, means the system we specify is the right size first time.
Indoor unit position affects how evenly a room cools, while outdoor unit position affects noise, airflow and how easy the system is to service in future. We plan both as part of the design, along with the route for pipework and drainage, so the finished installation looks tidy as well as performing well.
Modern inverter driven systems adjust their output to match demand rather than switching fully on and off, using significantly less electricity than older on/off units. Designing around the right size and specification from the outset means you get that efficiency without paying for more capacity than the space actually needs.
