This page explains what information we collect through this website and how we use it.
When you fill in our contact form, we collect the details you provide: your name, phone number, email address, your address (building name or number, street, town or city, region or county, and postcode) and your message. We only use this to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to arrange or carry out plumbing and heating work for you.
We use your contact details to respond to your enquiry, provide quotes, and arrange or follow up on work. Our lawful basis for doing so is our legitimate interests in responding to potential customer enquiries and running our business. Where work is subsequently agreed and carried out, the lawful basis becomes the performance of a contract with you. We do not sell your information to third parties.
Our contact form has a separate, optional tick box for marketing emails. If you tick it, we will add your name and email address to our mailing list, which we manage using Mailchimp, to send you occasional news, offers and updates about our services. Ticking this box is entirely optional and has no effect on us responding to your enquiry. The lawful basis for sending marketing emails is your consent.
You can withdraw that consent and unsubscribe at any time, either using the unsubscribe link included in every marketing email or by contacting us at office@jaxplumbing.co.uk. Withdrawing consent does not affect emails already sent or any work already agreed with us.
Our contact form uses FormSubmit, a third party form delivery service, to send your enquiry directly to our office inbox by email. Your submission is not stored in a public database or displayed anywhere on the site. FormSubmit acts as a data processor on our behalf solely for the purpose of delivering your message to us.
We keep enquiry and customer details for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, carry out any agreed work, and meet our accounting and legal obligations, after which it is deleted.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is inaccurate, to request that we delete it, to restrict or object to how we process it, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format.
